Naga-Danao Cebu Superhighway works underway!
The works on Metro Cebu Expressway, also known as the Naga-Danao Superhighway, a 73.75km stretch of road from the City of Naga in southern Cebu to Danao City in the north.

The works on Metro Cebu Expressway, also known as the Naga-Danao Superhighway, a 73.75km stretch of road from the City of Naga in southern Cebu to Danao City in the north.
The expressway project is expected to cost around Php28.10 billion. The road project is divided into 3 segments, as described below:
Segment 1: An arterial road from Minglanilla-Talisay boundary to Mandaue City-Consolacion boundary, passing via Cebu City (length: 26.8km).
Segment 2: From Mandaue City-Consolacion boundary to Danao City (29.79km).
Segment 3: From Minglanilla-Talisay boundary to Naga City (17.15km).

Segment 3 is now underway and is expected to be finished by 2022, before President Duterte’s term ends. The project aims to ease the traffic congestion within the Metro Cebu area and will serve “as a north-south backbone highway, providing a seamless traffic flow from the City of Naga to Danao City, while traversing the slopes of Cebu’s mountain range’. Moreover, travel time between the two cities (Naga and Danao) will be dramatically decreased from 4 hours to just 1 hour, as transport experts predicted.
