Guide to Cebu Sinulog Party Events 2019

Cebu Republic January 16, 2019 Arts & Entertainment News & Features Festival

All roads are leading to Cebu right now as the annual Sinulog Festival is on its way! Brace for the best performances on the upcoming party events coinciding with the Cebu Sinulog Festival 2019 celebration happening on the third week of January 2019.

The Sinulog Festival, currently one of the most attended festivities among the country’s festivals, is celebrated with parade on the streets where participants dance to the tune of various marching drums, where costumes and attires are among the best in the region. Sinulog, which literally means “the strong flow of the water current”, had been celebrated in Cebu since the 1980s.

The dance rituals are being done in honor of the miraculous image of Santo Niño (the infant Jesus). The cultural and religious festivities are watched and enjoyed by millions of pilgrims, both local and foreign.

Over the years, the celebration had evolved tremendously, from sole street dancing, the fest hosts to party events such as concerts, live performances and other earthshaking musical affairs that melted the heart and soul of party music goers.

This year, dozens of party events are scheduled to happen coinciding with the weeklong celebration. All are invited to attend: men, women and teenagers, where the party will once again roar and will surely give excitement to all of Cebu!
