2 DJs Move on to Red Bull Thre3style Qualifier Final

Local DJs battle it out at the Red Bull Thre3style Cebu Qualifier for a shot to represent the country on the world stage June 18, 2015 (Cebu, Philippines) – It was a night of non-stop beats and high-energy crowds at the Red Bull Thre3style Cebu Qualifier last June 17 at Liv Superclub.

With world-renowned DJ Shortkut and Asian visual DJ champion TaShi as judges, some of the local scene's newer faces showed off their technical skills and played their most electrifying music in 15-minute sets to rapt crowds.

DJ Miguel (Miggy de Borja) and DJ K Groove (Kristian Hernandez) bested 4 other turntablists to get top honors.

Among this cycle's mixing and crowd-rousing elite, only one will get to represent the Philippines at the Thre3style World Championships in Tokyo, Japan later this year. Last 2014, DJ Carlo Atendido became the first Filipino to participate in the competition and finished in third place at the World Final in Baku, Azerbaijan.
